SIOUX CITY -- Carol A. Williams, 55, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 12, 2011. Service will be 9 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with Carol's niece the Rev. Alexis Williams officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Carol was born Nov. 2, 1956, in Sioux City, the daughter of Sidney and Hilda (Serger) Stowe. She graduated from Heelan High School. Carol married Bradley Williams in Sioux City. She had many certifications and worked in the optical field for most of her life. She worked at Exact Eye Care for 20-plus years. She also worked at Wadzinski Eye Clinic. Carol was a very kind and gentle person; she loved flowers and animals, especially her pugs, Buckwheat and Coco. She loved her family very much and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, baby sister, and aunt. She was involved in optical committees and was a member of the Community Theatre. Survivors include her husband, Brad; three children, Dennis Williams Jr. of Arizona, Bobbie (Kelsi) Williams of Sioux City, and Tanya (Donald) Olson of Washington; grandchildren, Taylor, Bentley, Brody, and Karson; six brothers, DeWayne (Sally) Stowe of Sioux City, LeeAnder (Alice) Stowe of Sioux City, Sidney (Barbara) Stowe Jr. of Iowa, Ronnie (Liz) Stowe of Sioux City, Eugene (Tina) Stowe of Sioux City, and Victor Stowe of Sioux City; three sisters, Thresia Molden of California, Jackie (Ken) Hunting of Kansas, and Angie LaCroix of Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Chad Williams; sisters, Dorothy and Elizabeth Stowe; and a brother, LeRoy Stowe. Pallbearers were DeWayne Stowe, Melvin Williams, Joshua Stowe, Todd LaCroix, Chris Molden, and Don Olson.
