SIOUX CITY -- Leah M. Becker, 47, of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at a Sioux City hospital. Visitation with the family present will be noon to 3 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2011 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, concluded with a memorial service at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Michael Erpelding and Dr. Thor Swanson officiating. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. She first worked worked for Navarrete's and later at the packinghouse in Dakota City. She also worked for Qwest and most recently as a waitress at Hungry's until she had to retire due to poor health in 2001. She was married to Brian Coan and to this union two children were born. She had spent these last few years with her significant other, Lenny Hollingsworth and they were engaged to be married. She enjoyed boating, camping, gardening, fishing, all kinds of animals and had a deep love for the outdoors. She is survived by her two children, Brian Coan and significant other Amira Mari, and RaeAnna Coan and husband Tom Henry, both of South Sioux City; three grandchildren, Drayden Coan, Jesstina and Jaste Henry; her parents, Richard and Shirley Becker of Sioux City; her fiancee, Lenny Hollingsworth of Sioux City; and three sisters, Leslie (Larry) Williams, Lynn (Rob) Snyder and Lana (Jeff) Cain, all of Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and her brother, Rob Becker.
