SIOUX CITY -- Bernice C. Kunze, 90, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Floyd House in Sergeant Bluff. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Kathy Martin officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville, Iowa. Bernice was born May 6, 1921, in Banner Township, rural Lawton, Iowa, to Edward R. and Anna Christina (Petersen) Lau. She was married to Lawrence C. Kunze and to that union four sons were born. He preceded her in death from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in 1959 in Moville. She later married Homer Musgrove on December 5, 1988 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2010, in Sioux City. She was homemaker, raising her four boys. Bernice enjoyed arts, crafts, growing flowers and plants, making quilts and crocheting. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and spending time with her family, who knew her as Grandma "B" or Aunt "B." She is survived by her three sons, Larry (Sandy) Kunze of Sioux City, Rick Kunze of Cordes, Ariz., Robb Kunze of Morgan Hill, Calif.; grandchildren, Missy, Christy, Chad, Robyn, Jason, Jeremy, Tristen, Stacey, Katelyn, and Shealyn; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; son, Kim L. Kunze; a granddaughter, Tammy Kunze; and four siblings, Viola Hane, Lucile Uhl, Cecelia Beckner, and Harry Lau.
