SIOUX CITY -- James Francis Wright, 80, of Sioux City died Monday, December 5, 2011, at a Sioux City nursing home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. James F. Wright was born September 25, 1931, Sioux City, the son of Arthur G. and Katherine (Connelly) Wright. He attended Sioux City schools. James was married to Annabelle Karras on February 17, 1950, in Sioux City. He was self-employed as a painter for many years. In his free time, James loved to fish, play cards, loved to travel with many trips to California and spending time with his cat, Shadow. Survivors include his wife, Annabelle Wright of Sioux City; a brother, Leo Wright of California; three sisters, Elaine and her husband, Don Johnson of California, Nora and her husband, Bill Johnson of Sioux City, and Margie Eberhard of California; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Raymond, Arthur, Andrew, Charles and Laverne; and two sisters, Irene and Barbara.
