Sherrill A. Pedersen

LAWTON, Iowa -- Sherrill A. Pedersen, 44, of Lawton passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at a local hospital following a short illness. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. LeRoy Struble officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Sherrill was born Feb. 2, 1967 in Elyria, Ohio, the daughter of Carlin and Jean (Mull) Kearns. She married Brad Pedersen in June of 1986 in Phoenix, Ariz. Sherrill was an animal lover and especially loved cats and squirrels. Her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her mother, Jean Troub of Sioux City; husband, Brad Pedersen of Lawton; two sons, Bryan and wife Amanda Pedersen of Hornick, Iowa, and Mark Pedersen of Lawton; a daughter, Nicole and husband Diego Puente of Des Moines, Iowa; six grandchildren, Braeden Puente, Elizabeth Puente, Colton Pedersen, Braelyn Pedersen, Lucias Puente and Gabriel Puente-Faber; two brothers, Chris Kearns and Mark Kearns; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Pedersen of Moville; sister-in-law, Shelly Barnes; brother-in-law, Mike (Mary) Pedersen; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John David, and her father. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to her family.
