Lester Zeilter

SIOUX CITY -- Lester L. Zeitler, 77, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home. Per his wishes, Lester's body will be cremated. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Lester was born on May 23, 1934 in Sioux City, to Ray and Esther (Anderson) Zeitler. Lester worked at all three packing houses in Sioux City, and also at Truck Haven. He enjoyed going fishing. Lester is survived by his brother, Donald Zeitler of Sioux City; and four sisters, Velma Gilbert and Irene Schmidt of Las Vegas, Nev., Eunice Zeitler of Sioux City, and Mrs. Duane Edith Coon of Akron, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lois Stewart; and three brothers, David, Joe and William Zeitler.
