Ruth L. Harstad

Ruth "Toni" L. Harstad, 86, of Sioux City passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Touchstone Living Center. Memorial services for Toni will be on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Private graveside services will be held at Graceland Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Toni was born on April 12, 1925 in Sioux City to Burton and Ethyl (Briggs) Morrow. Toni graduated from Central High School. She was married to William C. Harstad on May 15, 1945 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1995 in Sioux City. Toni was a homemaker and raised 5 children. She loved to play bridge and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed caring for others. Toni was also a member of PEO, JR. League, and various church organizations. Toni is survived by her 3 children, daughters Mary Christine Begovich of Sacramento, CA; and Jane (Barry) Snyder of LeMars, IA; and a son Bill (Joyce) Harstad of Sioux City; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers Bob, Paul and Bruce Morrow and 2 sons Gregory and Mark Harstad.
