Robert Floyd Irwin, 89, of Sioux City passed away on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 at Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services for Bob will be on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Chaplain Steve Benson officiating. Burial will be in the Logan Park Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Robert was born on March 12, 1922 in Sioux City to Floyd and Ida (Lias) Irwin. He attended Sioux City School. Robert served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. After being wounded in the war he returned home to be with his family. Robert enjoyed singing and playing his harmonica. Bob is survived by his brother Floyd Irwin of Lakewood, Co; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 6 sisters.
