SIOUX CITY -- William G. Kammerer Jr. of Sioux City was called into eternity Oct. 14, 2011, in Sioux City. Private memorial services in honor of what would have been his 56th birthday will be Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at St. Lawrence Martyr in Torrance, Calif. Local arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. We remember with love and affection William G. Kammerer Jr., born Oct. 22, 1955, in Baltimore, Md. He attended South High School in Torrance. He served his country with the U.S. Army, where he was a cook. He worked for some time in California as a plumber. He worked as a cook in Sioux City at USA Steak Buffet and most recently at Johnny Mars. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking and vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycles. William is survived by his son, William G. Kammerer III of Sioux City; his granddaughter, Jaden Marie Kammerer of Sioux City; his parents, William and Marilyn Kammerer of Torrance; sisters, Anna Lennon and Deborah Johnson Kammerer; and a brother, Steve Kammerer.
