Charlotte E. Wilber, 94, of Sioux City, IA died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at her home. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church in Sioux City with the Rev. Craig Collison officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Monday with the family present 6-8 pm with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be posted online at www.meyerbroschapels.com . Charlotte was born July 6, 1917 in Jefferson, SD, the daughter of Bert and Leona (Chicoine) Crevier. She attended grade school at St. Peter's in Jefferson, high school at Mt. Marty in Yankton, SD, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Briar Cliff University. Charlotte married Don Wilber on August 17, 1937 in Springfield, SD, raising their family of five daughters in Sioux City. Charlotte was active in Catholic Daughters and the Rosary Society at St. Boniface Parish in Sioux City. She was an avid seamstress, quilter, and china painter. She was a member of the Republican Party. Survivors include her daughters, Twink Coffman of Ferndale, WA, Judy (Guy) Lock of Lilburn, GA., Gail Bates of Omaha, NE, Nancy (John) McGuire of Sioux City, and Mary Wilber of Sioux City; grandchildren, Cyndi Bryan, Mike Simmons, Linda Armstrong, Lori Schuman, Gary Lock, Lenee' Doby, Eric Parks, and Amy McGuire; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Sibling survivors include Margaret (Marcus) Bernard, Dean (Pat) Crevier, and Pauline (Rodney) Allard; brother-in-law, Clint (Pete) Wilber of Norfolk, NE; and a sister-in-law, Allie Mae (Peggy) Burrell of Ferndale, WA. Preceding her in death were her husband of 51 years Don; sister Lucille Maison and brother Ray Crevier. Memorials may be directed to Briar Cliff University or Sacred Heart Parish.
