SIOUX CITY -- Roger K. Miller, 67, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at Hallmark Care Center in Sioux City. Per his wishes, his body was cremated. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Tess Panamarow officiating. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services today at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be posted at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Roger was born Oct. 26, 1943, in Sac City, Iowa, to Walter Henry and Elizabeth (DeConnick) Miller. He attended schools in Early, Iowa. Roger married Joyce Anderson in 1969. He married Nancy Thompson in 1982 in North Sioux City. She preceded him in death in 2010 in Sioux City. Roger was a past member of South Sioux City Eagles Club, where he enjoyed going to the dances. He was an avid racing fan. Survivors include his two brothers, Charles Henry (Mary) Miller and Don Miller, both of Sioux City; two stepsisters and four stepbrothers, Pam (Doug) Evans of Sioux City, Diane Bauerly, Bill (Sharlyn) Franco and Larry (Lisa) Franco, all of Sergeant Bluff, and Dennis (Leslie) Franco and and Jim Franco, both of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews, including Selena (Kevin) Miller Hiett of Lincoln, Neb., and Molly and Elizabeth Miller of Sioux City. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Josephine Franco; and a brother, Kenneth Miller.
