Annabelle Talbott

HAWARDEN, Iowa -- Ann Talbott (Loen), 85, of Hillcrest Care Center, Hawarden, formerly of Jefferson, S.D., went peacefully home on Wednesday Aug. 31, 2011. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Funeral Homes in Sioux City. Ann was born Aug. 22, 1926, to Martin and Inga Loen in Miner County, S.D. Ann taught rural school and raised her three children. She loved her family and was so proud of having five generations. She loved to play cards, bingo and table games and listening to music. Ann was admired by her family for her wisdom, kind heart and her enthusiastic personality. Ann lived in Jefferson for 30 years; she was very active in the Jaycees and Senior Citizens. Ann went to live at Hillcrest Care Center on April 15, 2010. She was very active in any activities the home held; she enjoyed her friends and the workers as well. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Connie (Phillip) Sullivan of Hawarden, Carole Weyer of Rapid City, S.D., and Michael Tupker of Mora, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Clarence, who passed away Sept. 5, 1985; her parents; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a son-in-law; and a grandson-in-law. She will be greatly missed by her family.
