SIOUX CITY -- Margo Mitchell Huitt, 77, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at a local hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be posted at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Margo was born Aug. 7, 1933, in Sioux City, the daughter of Raymond V. and Dorothy (Lessenich) Mitchell. She received her education in Sioux City, graduating from Heelan High School. Margo was a lifelong Sioux City resident. She was a caregiver to the elderly and those in need. Margo worked for many years at Cheyenne House and most recently provided in-home companionship through Siouxland Aging Services. She enjoyed antiquing and could be found on any Saturday at area yard sales and auctions. Survivors include her three daughters, Carrie (Chuck) Reuben of Cary, N.C., Linda Fachman of Sioux City and Mary Huitt (Henry Charles) North of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Angela, Christine, Andrew and Brett; and a great-grandson, Matthew. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Raymond; and a grandson, Michael. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Siouxland Center for Active Generations.
