SIOUX CITY -- Mason John Merical, 11, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at the Children's Care Hospital and School in Sioux Falls, S.D. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mason was born June 21, 1999, in Sioux City, the son of April Lambing and Philip Merical. He attended Children's Care Hospital and School in Sioux Falls. Mason's favorite things were riding his tricycle, swimming and baseball. He also enjoyed going on outings. Survivors include his mother, April Lambing of Sioux City; his father, Philip Merical of Jackson, Neb.; three sisters, Shelby Lambing and Brooke Lambing, both of Sioux City and Addison Pinney of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Adam Merical of Jackson, Neb.; his maternal grandparents, Allen and Judy Lambing of Sioux City; his paternal grandparents, Don and Bernadine Merical of Jackson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Bill, Lloyd, Kurt and Dean Lambing, and Steve and Becky Callahan. Honorary pallbearers will be his three sisters and his brother.
