Beverly R. (Woodley) Livengood, 81 of Sioux City, IA passed away at her home on Thursday, May 19, 2011after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be Monday, May 23, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Rev. Scott Squires officiating. Visitation with the family will be the hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Beverly was born March 23, 1930 in Merrill, IA the daughter of David and Fannie (Simmons) Woodley. She was the youngest of 11children. Her family moved to Sioux City where she attended Central High School. On March 23, 1949 she married Warren Livengood in Council Bluffs, IA. To that union 2 daughters were born, Sheryl and Lynn. Beverly loved to go golfing with the girls. She was a good homemaker and spent a lot of time with her children. She also enjoyed fishing and wintering in Florida . She was a 35 year member of the Elk Point Country Club. Beverly lived in the same home for 57 years. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Warren Livengood; a daughter and her husband, Sheryl and Thomas Parman of Hollywood, Florida; 3 grandchildren, Jeff Parman and his wife, Barbara of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Melissa Crase and her husband, Andrew of Key Largo, FL and Chuck Hanson and his girlfriend, Carrie of Fort Lauderdale, FL; 3 great-grandchildren, Samantha Crase, Hunter Parman and Zack Parman; many nieces and nephews; and Krissy, her Maltese dog given to her by her daughter, Sheryl. She was preceded in death by her a daughter, Lynn (Livengood) Hanson, her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Beverly's family would like to thank everyone for their love and kindness shown. A special thanks to Hospice. She was a very loving wife and mother who will be deeply missed and who will remain always in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family who will give the contributions to Hospice of Siouxland.
