SIOUX CITY -- Margaret A. "Peggy" (Boeshart) Giudice, 80, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at a local care facility. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Peggy was born March 18, 1931, to Clyde and Mabel (McCloud) Clabough in Coleridge, Neb. Peggy's mother died three days later, leaving a family of five small children. So as her mother wished, Peggy became a member of the George and Wallie (McCloud) Boeshart family. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Catholic Church in rural Ponca, Neb. Peggy attended country schools in Dixon County, Neb., Myrtle Creek, and graduated 8th grade from Turtle Hill. She attended high school in Ponca, Sacred Heart in Hartington, and graduated from Laurel High School in 1948. After high school she worked in Sioux City, and on Nov. 21, 1949, she married Thomas Giudice. They lived in Sioux City until they moved to the San Francisco area in 1957. They retired and moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., living there until they moved back to Sioux City in 1988. They lived in the Glenn Oaks Apartments for 18 years and after Thomas died in August of 2006, she moved to Northern Hills Assisted Living in November of 2006. In 2008 health problems caused her to move to Sunrise Retirement Community in Sioux City. Peggy is survived by one sister, Pearl (Bill) Snyder; two sisters-in-law, Rita (Phil) Boeshart, and Virginia Levich; and two brothers-in-law, Sam and Pete Giudice, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; five brothers, Vincent, James, John, William, and Phillip; two sisters, Pearl Marie and Edna; one sister-in-law, Rose. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hospice of Siouxland or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
