Donald "Donnie" M. Wold Sr.

SIOUX CITY -- Donald M. "Donnie" Wold Sr., 68, of Sioux City was stricken at his home and died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at a local hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, with the family present 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Don was born March 19, 1941, in Sioux City, the son of Donald E. and Sylvia May (Solomon) Wold. As a lifelong Sioux City resident, he owned and operated his own trucking company. He was a member of the El Forastero Motorcycle Club. Donnie enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being with his brothers.

He is survived by four children, Donald M. Wold Jr., Tony Wold, Donnie Ray Wold and Shelly Wold; and a special companion and friend, Mary Decora, all of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren, Shawn Lyons, Jesse Keleher, Corey Wold, Nicole Wold, Tony Wold Jr., Riley Wold, Julie Wold, Raven Wold, D.J. Rockwood, Tasha Rockwood, Stormy Wold and Thunder Martin Wold.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Darwin "Duffy" Solomon; and a grandson, Jordan Merrick.

Pallbearers will be Dickie Worden, Tony Wold, Donnie Wold Jr., Donnie Ray Wold, Marvin Johns and Clay Mace. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the El Forastero Motorcycle Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated.
