SIOUX CITY -- Dolores Beverly (Spencer) Williamson, 93, former longtime resident of Sioux City, passed away Jan. 8, 2010, at Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at First Lutheran Church, 3601 Dakota Ave., South Sioux City. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.
Dolores was born Nov. 21, 1916, in Andrew, Iowa, and attended school in Sioux City. She was a homemaker and in-home child caregiver. Dolores was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City.
Survivors include a daughter, Jan Klingensmith of Sioux Falls; granddaughters, Annette Agee and Joe Dangle of Lennox, S.D., Wendy and Daren Jessip of Brandon, S.D., and Stacy and Tim Niemeyer of Dakota Dunes; six great-grandchildren, Jessica and Nicole Verbeski, Sydney and Kendall Jessip and Hannah and Benjamin Niemeyer; sisters-in-law, Darlene Spencer of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mary Spencer of Phoenix, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews. Dolores had an extended family including Nancy and Laura Peck and children, Mary Ann Bolles and children, and Terri Ann Graff and family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dwight E. Williamson; mother and father, Edward and Emma Spencer; two brothers, James Spencer and Neville "Bud" Spencer; two sisters, Vera Mount and Bonnie Stephens; and a son-in-law, Robert J. Klingensmith.
The family requests no flowers due to interment at a later date.
