SIOUX CITY -- Donald L. Williams, 81, of Sioux City died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Correctionville City Cemetery, Correctionville, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to meyerbroschapels.com.
Donald L. Williams was born March 11, 1928, in Oto, Iowa, the son of John Ray and Loretta (Keitges) Williams. He served in the U.S. Navy.
He married Marilyn Edwards on May 29, 1965, in Sioux City. He was employed with Bomgaars Warehouse for the past 47 years and was still employed there.
He was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church and the American Legion. He loved fishing, feeding the birds and working in the yard. He enjoyed hunting in his early years and loved to take photos.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Williams; his sons, Cecil Williams and Don Corcoran; daughters, Glenda Chapman, Kathy Trucke, Dawn Lindeman and Penny Franki; a brother, Edmond Williams; a sister, Marie Perry; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Wayne.
