Martha M. Widner, 87, of Sioux City died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Bickford Cottage.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Mrs. Widner was born Nov. 30, 1919, in Elgin, Neb., the daughter of Henry and Mary (Venteicher) Bohnenkamp. She grew up in Elgin, then came to Sioux City where she worked in various homes before going to work for Knapp and Spencer, where she worked for many years.
She married Austin Widner on Jan. 31, 1970, in Sioux City. He died Dec. 20, 1982, in Sioux City.
She was a member of two labor unions including the Teamsters Union and she enjoyed living on her acreage. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Lawrence, Ray and Wilfred Bohnenkamp; and two sisters, Henrietta Schroeder and Helen Bohnenkamp.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Newburn, Jennifer Rodriguez, Terra Schwager, Bernie Bohnenkamp, Jerry Bohnenkamp and Larry Hawley.
