Roger R. Wesselink

Roger R. Wesselink Sr., 66, of Springdale, Ark., formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, at Springdale Hospital.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City, with the Rev. Alex T. Washington officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Roger R. Wesselink was born Nov. 24, 1940, in Sioux County, Iowa, the son of Fred and Alice (Hoekstra) Wesselink. He married Sharon D. Mills on Nov. 14, 1960, in Riverside, Calif.

He enjoyed sharing time with his family in Springdale.

He is survived by a son and his wife, Roger Jr. and Michelle of Springdale; five grandchildren, Pierce Wesselink, Nathan Wesselink, Jordan Duerksen, Adam Duerksen, all of Springdale and Sean DeWolf of Sioux City; a brother-in-law and his wife, Jay and Vicky Mills Jr.; a nephew, Jay Mills III; a niece, Kimberly Mills; and a very close family friend, Diane Evans and her family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife.
