SIOUX CITY -- Sherry Wayman, 56, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at her home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2009 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave., with Pastor Michael Ring of Glad Tidings Lighthouse Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Walthill, Neb. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Sherry was born Oct. 25, 1952, in Sioux City, to Marvin and Margaret (Jors) Skinner. She received her education in the Sioux City Public Schools. She married Gary L. Webb on April 4, 1969, to which union two children were born, Christena and Jeff. Sherry worked as an LPN at Matney's Manor in South Sioux City before obtaining her cosmetology license. She was a beautician in Sioux City for a number of years. Her husband, Gary passed away in July 2003.
She married Marvin Wayman on Oct. 1, 2005. Marvin passed away in March 2007. She was an avid collector and enjoyed offering day-care services to children. Sherry was a mother, a nanny and a wonderful friend. She will be greatly missed by many.
Sherry is survived by her daughter, Christena Bremmer and her husband, Larry of Sioux City, and their children, Ben Bremmer, James Bremmer, Mark Walden, Sarah Bremmer and Gary Bremmer; her son, Jeff Webb and his wife, Stacey of Sioux City, and their children, Jamie Ryan Jr., Josh Ryan, Carrie Birdsell and her husband, Mike, Jeffrey Webb Jr. and Amber Webb; sisters, Patty Schultzen and her husband, Terry, Debra Ebson, Doris Ruring and her husband, Kevin and Joyce Roschke; brothers, Richard Duerksen, Gary Duerksen, Bruce Duerksen and his wife, Laura, Jeff Duerksen and his wife, Brandi, Ronnie Duerksen and his wife, Gloria, Billy Duerksen and his wife, Jamie and Charlie Roschke; great-grandchildren, Allison, Joseph, Zach, Perry and Emma; and special friends, Deb, Mary and Ron.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.
Pallbearers will be her brothers, Richard, Gary, Bruce, Jeff, Ronnie and Billy Duerksen.
