Marvin L. Wayman

Marvin L. Wayman, 69, of Sioux City passed away Monday, March 19, 2007, at his residence surrounded by his family.

The body has been cremated. Private services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Marvin was born Dec. 24, 1937, in Spring Valley, Minn., the son of Cecil F. and May F. (Forrester) Wayman.

He married Anita R. Bartelt on March 29, 1953 in Dakota City. Shortly after, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he was a gunner. Following his discharge from the military, he graduated from Western Iowa Tech Community College. He went to work for Claeys Brothers Moving and Storage as a truck driver and remained there until he retired due to health reasons.

Anita preceded him in death on March 12, 1983, in Sioux City. He married Rowena O. (Webb) Snyder in June 1983, in Sioux City. Rowena preceded him in death in July 2003, in Sioux City. More recently, he married Sherry L. (Rains) Webb on Oct. 4, 2004, in Elk Point, S.D.

He enjoyed traveling and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry; two daughters and their husbands, Anita and Michael Morey of Sioux City and Christena and Larry Bremmer of Sioux City; two sons, Jeff Webb and his wife, Stacey of Sioux City and David Snyder of Las Vegas, Nev.; 12 grandchildren, Wanita and her husband, Roger Lane, Michelle Morey, Michael Morey Jr., Mark Paul Walden, Sarah Bremer, Gary Bremer, Carrie Webb, Jeffrey Webb, Amber Webb, David Snyder, Timmy Snyder and Jennifer Snyder; five great-grandchildren, Marcus Lane, Chris Jones, Travis Jones, Autumn Morey and Perry Webb; a long time close friend, Frank Bartelt of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Marvin Wayman Jr. and Jeffrey Wayman; and two infant daughters, Jean and Jane Wayman.
