Edna C. Warren

SIOUX CITY -- Edna (Crosley) Warren, 78, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, in Mesa, with her family by her side.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave., with the Rev. Roger Madden as officiant. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born Edna P. Crosley on Sept. 13, 1931, to George and Hannah Crosley of Santee, Neb. She was employed in her younger years by Genelli Studio in Sioux City, where she beautifully applied color to black and white portraits. Edna owned and operated bowling lanes in Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska, and enjoyed the sport of bowling. Edna had many passions, family, painting, sewing and gardening, to only mention a few. She lived in Sioux City prior to moving to Arizona in 2005.

She is survived by her children, Jean Sorenson (Terry) and Steven Warren (Betsy); grandchildren, Melissa McNamara (Jamie), Jessica Oachs (Aaron), Megan Malikowski, Micheal Sorenson, Sara Sorenson, Paige Sorenson, John Sorenson and Hannah Sorenson; great-grandchildren, Kyler and Kody McNamara, Caleb Streeter, Alexis and Abbey Oachs; seven brothers and sisters, John Crosley (Mary), Phyllis Stickney (Leo), Carl Crosley (Elaine), Betty Warren, Robert Crosley (Linda), Gloria Kluender (Roland) and Carol Workman (Robert); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Duggan (1957), and her husband, Donald Warren (1994); grandson, Alex; and several nieces.

Edna had a sweet, caring, loving and gentle heart along with a selfless nature; she will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever.
