Elizabeth J. Ronnfeldt

SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Elizabeth J. "Betty" Ronnfeldt, 75, of South Sioux City died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at her residence.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Rosehill Cemetery, Emerson, Neb. Per the family's request, there will be no services or public visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Betty was born Aug. 8, 1934, in Sioux City, to Joseph and Marie (Bittner) Bresnan. She was raised in Seattle, Wash. The family later moved to Emerson.

On Oct. 21, 1954, she married Harold Ronnfeldt. She worked for 25 years at IBP.

Survivors include her husband, Harold of South Sioux City; a daughter, Sue Dykstra and son, Peter of South Sioux City; a son, Joe and his wife, Cece and grandchildren, Mary and John of Sioux City; two sisters-in-law, Geri Bresnan of Seattle and Esther Ronnfeldt of Sparks, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joe and Bob; and a sister-in-law, Wanda of Seattle.
