Linda L. Rol, 58, of Elk Point died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at her residence. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City. Abiding by her wishes, her body was cremated. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.
Linda was born on January 16, 1951 in Sioux City to Robert and Socorra (Bata) Rol. She graduated from East High School in 1969. Linda was employed most of her life with Swifts & Company and Gateway. Linda loved to go camping and fishing. She also enjoyed canning, cooking, baking and sewing. Most recently she enjoyed spending time at her cabin on the Vermillion river.
Linda is survived by her 2 sons, Chad (Shelley) Ritz of Sergeant Bluff and Mathew Ritz of Sioux City; 2 grandchildren Easton and Addison Ritz; mother Socorra Rol of Sioux City; brother Randy (Peggy) Rol of Sioux City; 2 sisters, Sandy Rol and Leesa (Richard) Wynn both of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
