Lois A. Roenfeldt

Lois A. Roenfeldt, 75, of Sioux City passed away of a brief illness on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth A. Schmidt officiating.

Lois was born Dec. 31, 1934, to John and Laura (Lanegain) Crowell in Anthon, Iowa. She grew up in rural Anthon and lived in various spots in the Midwest.

Lois married John Roenfeldt on April 8, 1953; and they settled in Huron, S.D. After John passed away, Lois moved to Sioux City.

Survivors include her sisters, Donna Bowmen of Hinton, Iowa, Betty Albers and her husband, Willard of Elizabeth, Colo., and Mary Cadwell of Sioux City; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Don.
