Tyler L. "Ty" Robinson, 16, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 14, 2007, at his residence.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larenzo Chavis officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville, Iowa. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Carl Fenceroy officiating, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Tyler was born Sept. 18, 1990, in Sioux City, the son of Todd L. Robinson and Amy J. Chan. He was a sophomore at West High School at the time of his death.
He had a passion for fast cars. He modified his own car from the ground up. He also enjoyed skateboarding, racing BMX and especially hanging out with friends.
Survivors include his parents, Todd and Amy of Sioux City; maternal grandparents, Mary and Jeff Krejci of Sioux City and Gene and Jane Chan of Omaha; paternal grandfather, Dale Hansen of Sioux City; several aunts and uncles, David and Carinne Robinson of Sioux City, Chris Chan of Omaha, Adam Chan of Sioux City, Lorraine Robinson of Texas, Joanna Eggers of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Jennifer Hogan of Council Bluffs; several cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles; and his girlfriend, Dana Thorsland of Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Judydean Hansen; paternal grandparents, Franklin L. and Dianne Robinson; and paternal great-grandmother, Bonadean Green.
Pallbearers will be David Robinson, Jeff Krejci, Tyler Boyle, Cory Nielsen, Chris Chan and Jim Meyers.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
