Goldie Janet Robbins, 92, of North Sioux City died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at her daughter Laura's residence in Sioux City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Salvation Army Church, with Capt. Daniel Burris, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.
Goldie was born Oct. 4, 1913, in Wagner, S.D., the daughter of Charles and Christine (Bechtole) Goulette.
She married Floyd Bernard Robbins on Oct. 6, 1936, in Sioux City. Floyd preceded her in death on June 21, 1989, in Sioux City.
Goldie was a resident of Sioux City for several years before moving to North Sioux City 25 years ago. She was a faithful member of the Salvation Army for 75 years.
Survivors include four children, Eva Sturges of Spokane, Wash., Laura Sturges of Sioux City, Jerry Robbins and his wife, Joan, of Portland, Ore., and Janet Miller and her husband, Ivan, of Pensacola, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lila Nagy of Michigan and Ethel Parks of Salem, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; four brothers and three sisters.
