Warren M. Riediger, 84, of Sioux City died suddenly Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David A. Schoop officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date. Mr. Riediger was born March 20, 1923, in Hinton, Iowa, the son of Martin Henry and Laura (Zwiefel) Riediger. He was in the first graduating class at Leeds High School in 1941. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for three and one half years.
He married LaVerne Prynn on Sept. 18, 1948, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Sioux City. He was a cattle salesman for Swanson, Gilmore and Carrol.
He enjoyed fishing, golf, traveling and raising livestock. After retirement, he enjoyed working with stained glass. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne Riediger of Sioux City; two sons, Craig (Susan) Riediger of Peoria, Ill., and Dave (Sandra) Riediger of Windsor, Colo.; a brother, Ronald (Sharon) Riediger of Merrill, Iowa; a sister, Lois O'Dea of Arizona; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Eleanor Petersen.
