Mary K. Pierce of Dakota City died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today in Dakota City Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Call officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, where condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Mrs. Pierce was born Feb. 3, 1941, to Robert and Helen (Lutjens) Reimers. She graduated Boyden High School in Boyden, Iowa.
She married Jack Pierce on Oct. 23, 1974, in Centerville, S.D. She worked for Aalfs Manufacturing, IBP and later Tyson from which she retired in 2003.
She enjoyed gardening, yard and house work, playing with her dog, Scooter, family time and life.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Pierce of Dakota City; her parents, Robert and Helen Reimers of Boyden, Iowa; two sisters and their husbands, Alice and Duane Stowe of Dakota City and Roberta and Robert Mulder of Boyden; and nieces and nephews.
