DAKOTA DUNES -- Norma Jean Petrik, 82, of Dakota Dunes passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at her residence.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Daniel Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to meyerbroschapels.com.
Norma Jean was born April 26, 1928, in Sioux City, to Michael and Georgia (Plum) Rich. She graduated from Central High School in 1946.
She married Robert D. Petrik on March 16, 1951, in Sioux City.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved to travel. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and was a devoted mother and wife.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; her sons, Steve and his wife, JoEllen of Sioux City, Bob and his wife, Kathy of Sioux City, and Paul and his wife, Shannon of Arizona; her daughters, Teresa and her husband, Kenny Omundson of Idaho, Julie and her husband, Carroll Fullerton of South Dakota, and Mary and her husband, Tim Marx of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Nancy Huseth; two brothers; and a sister.
Pallbearers will be Steve, Robert J. and Paul Petrik, Kenny Omundson, Carroll Fullerton and Tim Marx. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
