Ellen T. Peterson

Ellen T. Peterson, 87, of Sioux City died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at her residence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Peterson was born July 29, 1918, in Sioux City, the daughter of Oscar and Hilma (Nelson) Larson. She graduated from Central High School and Edwards Business School. She was a lifeong Sioux City resident.

She married Howard G. Peterson on June 29, 1948, in Sioux City. He died Jan. 2, 1993, in Sioux City. She worked for several years for F.W. Means.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the Siouxland Senior Center. She was a care giver to many members of her family and enjoyed painting pictures.

Survivors include a niece; and a nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; and two brothers, Roy and Herbert Larson.
