Janiene Paulson

Janiene G. Paulson, 67, of Sioux City, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at her home. Closed casket visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2007 from 3-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m. A prayer service will then begin at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2007 at Trimble United Methodist Church with Reverend Martha Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Janiene was born on September 27, 1939 in Sioux City to Darrell F. and Mildred A. (Mongar) Hansel. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Heelan High School. Janiene married Don C. Paulson. She worked as a Maintenance Administrator for U.S. West Communications for 30 years, retiring in 1993. Janiene then began working at Sun Valley Golf Course for the last few years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Janiene also loved playing golf.

Janiene is survived by her children, Lori Paulson-Milbrodt and her husband Michael, Robin Wilch, Greg Paulson and his wife Tammy, Amy Oestreich and her husband Chris all of Sioux City, IA, and Jason Paulson and his wife Angie of Hutto, Texas. 15 grandchildren, Chad, Jessica, Travis, Kelsey, Taylor Paulson & David Milbrodt, Amanda, Megan, & Andrea Wilch, Jennifer & Tyler Paulson, Ashley, Amber & Ali Oestreich, Jacob & Katelyn Paulson, 2 great grandsons, Marco and Caden Paulson. 8 brothers and sisters, Molly Wetzbarger of Dakota Dunes, SD, Beverly Kelly and her husband Keith of Omaha, NE: Gerald Hansel and his wife Joan, Jack Hansel and his wife Alice, Thomas Hansel and his wife Sherry, Robert Hansel and his wife Vickie all of Sioux City, IA: Vincent Hansel of Wichita, KS: and Kim Byrne and husband Rick of Omaha, NE: and also her secret sisters.

Janiene was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Trisha and Phyllis.
