Nadine Palensky, 82, of Sioux City died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Gary Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Nadine Palensky was born Jan. 11, 1926, in Maryville, Mo., the daughter of O.O. and Ola (Thornhill) Wallace.
She married Fred J. Palensky on June 10, 1948 in Maryville, Mo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1995. She was a wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Frederick and Barbara Palensky of Grant, Minn., and James and Teresa Palensky of Ames, Iowa; three daughters, Cynthia and Eric Beardsley of Bethlehem, Conn., Susan Stahle of Sioux City and Janet Palensky of Sioux City; a son-in-law, Tim Stahle of Sioux City; grandchildren, Jolie, Joshua, Kimberly, Derek, Zachary, Andrew, T.J., Courtney, Taylor, Alexander, Hayley, Bailey and Riley; great-grandsons, Hagen and Logan Stahle; two brothers-in-law, Joseph and Cathy Palensky of Ralston, Neb., and Leo and Judy Palensky of Davidsonville, Md.; several nieces and nephews; and very dear friends, Lorraine and Jerry Neu and Leona Leff of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a grandson, Corey J. Palensky.
Pallbearers will be Timothy D. Stahle Sr., Timothy D. Stahle Jr., Andrew Stahle, Joshua Palensky, Zachary Palensky and Derek Beardsley.
Memorials may be given to St. Michael Catholic Church.
