SIOUX CITY -- Scott N. Olson, 55, of Sioux City died Friday, March 20, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2009 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Tess Panamarow officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Scott was born Nov. 4, 1953, in Sioux City, to Arthur and Beth (Robinson) Olson. He graduated from West High School. He worked for his father at Olson Cycle Center for many years.
Scott had a passion for music. He was a drummer in two bands, Kid Death and Legs Diamond. He loved history and going to museums. He also enjoyed traveling, the outdoors and visiting state parks. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and involved with the Soo Cycle Club.
He was our fun-loving son, brother, uncle and friend, loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his father, Arthur Olson of Sioux City; two sisters, Kathy (Maury) Fjestad of Apple Valley, Minn., and Sue (Steve) Ostendorf of Farmington, Minn; special friend, Rhonda Jolin of Sioux City; eight nephews and nieces, Steve, Jesse, Jaclyn, Daniel, Jason, Jeffrey, Katelyn and Stephanie; and close friend, Carol Ellis of Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents; and a brother, Robert.
