John T. Nooney

SIOUX CITY -- John T. Nooney, 57, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

John was born the son of Richard and Johnette (Sivill) Nooney on Dec. 15, 1952, in Sioux City. He attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Heelan High School. In 1974, John moved to California, and then later to Seattle, Wash. He returned to Sioux City in 2003 to be closer to his family.

John is survived by his parents, Richard and Johnette Nooney of Sioux City; two brothers, Bill Nooney and Michael D. Nooney, both of Sioux City; a sister, Ann Peck of Hudson, Wis.; two uncles, Rev. Joseph P. Nooney of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and William Sivill of Merrill, Iowa.
