Kent E. "Corkey" Nolan, 44, of Omaha, formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Dan P. Wills of Chandler Aces Baptist Church, Bellevue, Neb., officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Kent was born May 19, 1962, in Sioux City, the son of Kenneth L. and Brendaloy (Utech) Nolan. He was an electronics technician by trade. He married Shelly L. Parker in 1988 in Amarillo, Texas. Kent had been a resident of Sioux City for several years prior to moving to Omaha in 1997.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed his music.
Survivors include three children, Jolene Nolan, Nikkole Nolan and Nathan Nolan, all of Sioux City; his mother and stepfather, Brendaloy and Gerald Thomas of Omaha; his father, Kenneth Nolan of South Sioux City; a sister and her husband Mistey and Michael Jones of Savoy, Texas; and a brother and his wife Rick and Jill Olson of Superior, Wis.
Casket bearers will be Nathan Nolan, Steve Parker, Steve Utech, Doug Utech, Mike Courey and Mike Jones.
