Randi Sue Nelson

SIOUX CITY -- Randi Sue Nelson, 23, of Sioux City and Des Moines, whose life was tragically ended on Monday, April 5, 2010.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Randi was born Jan. 27, 1987, in Sioux City, the daughter of Toni Barnes. She worked for the Carpenter's Union.

Randi loved to shop and listen to music, but her biggest love was spending time with her three beautiful daughters. Her faith was very important to her and she enjoyed going to church.

Survivors include her parents, Toni and Jim Lueck of Sloan, Iowa; three daughters, Shawntavia, Veronica and Kiasha; two brothers, Trent Nelson and his fiancee, Alysha Ivory and Rick Nelson and his special friend, Kylee Longwell of Sioux City; three sisters, Jessica, Harley and Kara Lueck of Sloan; her grandfather, Melton Barnes; friend, Christine Hilterbrand; and her father, Herbert Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Miranda; a cousin, Mary Carter; an aunt, Joyce Barnes; and her grandmother, Margaret Barnes.

Pallbearers will be Rick Nelson, Ryan Barnes, Zach Barnes, Travis Barnes, Ben Barnes Jr., and Kevin Huynh. Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Nelson, Ronda Barnes and Ben Barnes Sr.

Memorial contributions made in Randi's name may be made to the family and used for her daughters care.
