SIOUX CITY -- Charles Michael Myers, 80, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Touchstone Nursing and Rehab.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 in Calvary Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Charles was born Oct. 22, 1929, in Sioux City, the son of Harry and Della A. (Mousel) Myers. Charles was a veteran of the Korean War, proudly serving with the U.S. Army and Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953.
He married Theresa Mae McKenize on Sept. 11, 1954, in Sioux City. Charles worked as the produce manager for Sunshine Market for 21 years until retirement.
He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Legion Club and the VFW. Charles was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a good husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; son, Art and wife, Robin Myers of Pueblo, Colo.; daughter, Carol and husband, Willie Dean of Sioux City; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Memorials may be given to the family in Charles' name.
