LeRoy R. Moore, 56, of Sioux City died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at a local hospital after an extended illness.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of All Nations, 3100 W. 4th St. with the Rev. Martha Anderson of Trimble United Methodist Church officiating. There will be no visitation. The body was cremated under the direction of Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home.
Mr. Moore was born Dec. 29, 1950, the son of Warren "Dick" and Margaret (Davis) Moore. He attended Central High School. He served with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam from 1968-72. He married Neva Marlon. They later divorced. He married Anita Tackett in 2004.
He worked as a chef at KFC in Spencer, Iowa and most recently was employed as a driver for Jefferson Bus Line. His hobbies included car building and antique car remodeling.
Survivors include, his wife Anita of Sioux City; four children, Jenney Small and Rebecca Moore, both of Spencer, Greg Moore, stationed with the U.S. Army in Texas, and Craig Moore. Two step-children, Stephanie Tackett and Vanessa Tackett, both of Kansas City, Mo.; his father and step-mother, Warren "Dick" and Linda Moore; two sisters, Sharon Wendle of Salzburg, Md. and Suzzanna Moore of Sioux City; three step-brothers, Jason Thorp and Darren Thorp, both of Sioux City and Ryan Thorp of California; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret
