Funeral services for Margaret Adell Monlux, 94 of Sioux City will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation for Margaret will be held 1 hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Logan Park Cemetery. Margaret passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Holy Spirit Nursing and Retirement Home.
Margaret was born on August 21, 1915 in Sioux City to Frank and Adell Budd. She graduated from Central High School. She was married to Deloss Monlux on November 22, 1936 at the First Baptist Church in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1998 in Sioux City. Margaret was a homemaker and took great pride in her home. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, embroidery work, cooking, and the color purple. She was a member of Central Baptist church and was very active in the Boy and Girl Scouts, as well as a past president of the Bancroft PTA.
She is survived by her son Raymond (Penny) Monlux of Sioux City; daughter Marilyn Monlux of Kingsley; and a daughter-in-law Carol Monlux of Tulsa, OK; 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren with one on the way, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Timothy Barber and her son Harold Monlux.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Monlux, Terry Smith, Bo Barber, Daniel Monlux, Paul Lofflin, and Tobi Wright.
