Darlene June Moe

Darlene Moe, 78, of Sioux City, passed away at her home with her family at her side on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. A closed casket funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at First Lutheran Church with Reverend Alan Wicks officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior at the church. Nelson ~ Berger Northside Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Darlene was born June 13, 1929, in Sioux Falls, SD, to John Joseph and Edna (Remme) Reigert. The family moved to Sioux City short there after. She attended Central High School, graduating in 1947.

On January 24, 1949, she married Kenneth Moe in Sioux City. She worked at Younkers for many years. Darlene was a member of First Lutheran Church, Siouxland Humane Auxiliary. She also enjoyed interior decorating and gardening.

Darlene is survived by her 2 children, Kerry Moe of Shady Side, MD; and Randy Moe of Littleton, CO, her mother Edna Reigert of Sioux City, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her father John and a brother Dwight.
