Jill D. Miller, 65, of Sioux City died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Erpelding of St. Joseph's Catholic Church officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Jill was born Feb. 21, 1941, in Sioux City, the daughter of John and Betty (Wright) Renner. She attended Sioux City schools.
She married David Miller on Nov. 30, 1957, in Sioux City. She worked as a nurse's aid for Hospice, retiring in 2001.
She will be remembered as a loving and great wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed camping, gardening, keeping up the yard and shopping. She was known for her great sense of humor and being a good listener. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, David Miller of Sioux City; her father, John (Virginia) Renner of Sioux City; her children, Julaine (Wes) Olson of Ottumwa, Iowa, Delyn (Daryl) Struss of Sioux City, John (Sherry) Miller of Sioux City, Christine Peterson and her special friend, Jerry Mapes of Sioux City and Gary (Angie) Miller of Sioux City; and a brother, Gary (Dorothy) Renner of Gering, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and a brother, John Renner.
