SIOUX CITY -- Darlene U. Miller, 83, of Sioux City died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at a Santa Ana, Calif., hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2009 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. LeRoy Graham officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Darlene was born June 3, 1926, in Sioux City, the daughter of Charles and Selma (Garner) Graham.
She was married to Myron E. Miller. He died Sept. 28, 1993. She owned and operated Falline Nursing Home in Sioux City for 20 years. She then worked as a nursing home administrator at another nursing home in Sioux City.
She helped serve at the luncheons at St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in South Sioux City. She enjoyed playing canasta with the ladies in her card club.
Survivors include three children, Dennis Falline of Orange, Calif., Linda and her husband, David Reed of Orange and Brian Geesaman of Sioux City; a brother, Derril Graham and his wife, Delores of Sioux City; five grandchildren, Eric and Ryan Falline, Denise Haddock, Michael and Matthew Modine; and a great-grandchild, Aaron Haddock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Graydon Graham; and a sister, Raemonda Perry.
