Alberta May Miller

Alberta May Miller, 78 of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. Services for Alberta will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel located at 6200 Morningside Ave. with Rev. Craig Bock officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Alberta was born on December 18, 1930 in Sioux City the daughter of Fredrick and Dolly May (Baker) Freimark. On February 26, 1949 she was married to Elmer W. Miller. She worked for Armour & Co in Sioux City and Worthington and later for Swift produce.

She enjoyed her family especially her great grandchildren. Taking Michael, Ashley and Aaron to church and baking with them. She enjoyed Rehab at Marion Health & coffee with the gang at HyVee.

Survivors include three children; a son Richard M. (Holly) Miller of Coon Rapids, MN; two daughter Kathryn (Keith) Cardwell of Sioux City; Betty (Bill) Anderson of Sioux City; a sister Betty Hurley of Chariton, IA; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; a close niece Revis (Hurley) Thompson, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer, five brothers, Fred, Leonard, Paul, Chet, & Bob; two sisters Elsie and Alice.
