SIOUX CITY -- Rick Lee McMillin, 51, of Sioux City passed away June 23, 2009, in Fremont, Neb.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Rick was born Thursday, March 20, 1958, in Wagner, S.D., to Robert and Joan (Gruis) McMillin. He attended schools in Lake Andes, S.D., and Jackson, Neb. He grew up in Ravinia, S.D., from 1958 to 1972, then moved to the Sioux City area.

He married Diana Green on Sept. 24, 1976. He was an auto body technician for 31 years, including owning Quality Auto Body in South Sioux City.

He enjoyed stock car racing, building muscle cars and street rods, but mostly loved spending time with his daughter, Megan.

He is survived by his daughter, Megan McMillin; his ex-wife, Diana McMillin; his brothers, Randy McMillin and his wife, Ronicia of Greeley, Colo., Ray McMillin and his wife, Lina of Sioux City, Bert Carver of Sioux City, Mike Carver of Sioux City, Dave Carver and his wife, Brenda of Hinton, Iowa, Kip Divis and his wife, Donna of Rapid City, S.D., and Matt Ketelsen of North Sioux City; sisters, JoAnn Carver and Ruth Waller, both of Lincoln, Neb., Kandy Taylor and David Nies of Lincoln and Jody Walker and her husband, Steve of Kansas City, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Alysa.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Foster, Larry Watterson, Richard Green, Dave Kuehl and Brad Rowe.
