John C. McEniry, 53, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 31, 2006, at his residence.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Heartland Community Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gene Stockton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. John was born April 14, 1953, in Minneapolis, the son of John A. and Geraldine P. (Ellison) McEniry. He graduated from Hinton (Iowa) High School and from Western Iowa Tech Community College. He belonged to the Civil Air Patrol at one time.
John was employed with River City Amusement Company for many years. More recently, he worked for Pepsi Cola Company.
His hobbies included underwater photography. He was an avid scuba diver and a member of Divers Alert Network (D.A.N.).
Survivors include a son and his wife, Matthew John McEniry and Kelly Marie (Foster) McEniry of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Kerry Rene McEniry of Houston, Texas; two sisters and their husbands, Mary Margaret and Peter Holmes of Deal, Kent, U.K., and Laura Lee and Thomas Cameron of Mannford, Okla.; an aunt, Margaret Powell of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and three nieces and nephews, Eric John Cameron and Laura Ann Cameron, both of Mannford, Okla., and Christopher John Holmes of Deal, Kent, U.K.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
