Darlene J. McArthur, 70, of Sioux City died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Vivian Derochie officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Darlene was born Nov. 7, 1936, in Sioux City. She lived in the Greenville area for more than 50 years.
She enjoyed cooking and communicating with friends via the computer. She also was a gifted with a green thumb as is evident by the beautiful plants that surrounded her in her home.
She is survived by her friend and loving companion, Robert Butrous of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Doug and Kathy Milner of Sioux City; a daughter, Rhonda McArthur of Sioux City; three grandchildren, Nick, Karen and Maggie; a great-granddaughter, Hayley; two brothers, Skip Madge and Jim Martin; and her nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debra Milner; and a grandson, Joseph Milner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Butrous sons, Ronny, Rick, Bobbi, and her grandchildren, Nick, Karen and Maggie.
