Kevin was a lifelong resident of Sioux City, although he did live in Storm Lake, Iowa, for about two years. He was born Feb. 8, 1957, the son of Terry and Colleen Martin. He graduated from West High School in 1975.

Kevin married his high school sweetheart, Debra Maurer, on June 9, 1978. He was self-employed as an interior and after-market auto repairman, supporting the local auto dealers and body shops for many years. He also had an auto unlocking service.

Kevin always said that his greatest achievement in life was raising three awesome kids, whom he adored. He also had a special love for motorcycles and ham radios (KC0AXK). He had a big heart and would do anything for anybody.
